Nick,
I didn't say some of the things that you have attributed to me. However, lets just move on to your example.
Let say i have a sales order with Requested date (05/11/2016) for 60 and the delivery date is 05/18/2016 for 60 now we have stock which has been available on 05/11/2016 and now when we run BOP without the New distribution flag, what you have mentioned is it will not release the confirmation unless it has any update .
Nope, I didn't say that. I don't believe I mentioned the word release at all. I was talking about deletions.
Expert Casper used the term 'release', and he rightly implies that this is an internal function, which happens long before any actual deletions take place.
'New distribution' means that BOP releases ALL of the confirmations (every schedule line) that are in the entire sorted BOP list immediately after the sort phase, but before the ATP phase. When 'New distribution' is not checked, the BOP releases the confirmation of each schedule line, one by one, during each individual ATP check. In both cases, the original confirmation is 'released', the only thing that is different is 'when' it is released during the BOP run.
Now in this case it has to make an update and change the delivery date to 05/11/2016
Assuming that the ATP quantity is positive on May 11, yes
but what happens to the good of 05/18/2016 which it has initially consumed, will it be given to other orders.
Any newly freed ATP quantity will be available to other orders, if there are any.
Can you please elaborate how that setting works.
Don't know what else you want to know......
Best Regards,
