I've found another one!
When creating a SM30 table maintenance I often forget the name of one of our custom authorisation groups. So, idiot that I am, I try and do an F4 search!
Now, because I am a fool, I am expecting a list of results that start with Z, because that is how F4 help works in many places in SAP. Instead I get:-
Here I can at least search with the binoculars to get to the first Z entry, but sometimes such a list (in another area) has more than 500 entries and then the only way to find the name of the entry you want is to know what it is in the first pace, and if you knew that you would not be doing the search.
I love putting all these minor things here, which you or I or any developer could fix in ten seconds, but in fact will never be fixed. Let's hope Larry Ellison never discovers this blog or he will use it as ammunition at his Open World conference.
